Meet Jeannie Fennell

Who is this person?
Since my work is relational and personal, I want people to know more about who I am, rather that what I have done. This bio is a way to connect more personally. I feel as if I know my clients because I am just like them – someone who has done many things but needed to change life in mid-stream in order to find balance and fulfillment.
I have always been fascinated with what makes people tick and that interest is still alive in me. As part of that interest, I have researched and practiced many ways to make life work better. The name of my company says it all – LIFEWORKS!
I created LIFEWORKS to make a difference in the lives of others and to have a business that supports my need for flexibility and fun.
One of my deepest beliefs is that we are all born with gifts and talents and that one of the major jobs in life is to find ways to express these. I love to find new ways to use my gifts and the challenges of that search keeps me going. I have learned a lot by the 2×4 method!
I lived in California for a number of years, and I was a consultant to hi-tech organizations and not-for-profits in organizational and management development. In addition, I studied many forms of alternative health and healing. In California there is a guru on every corner, so I was able learn from the best.
I have worked for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, charitable organizations, as well as being an entrepreneur and operating a management consultant business. In mid-life, I went back to school to finish my Ph.D in psychology and I spent several years as a counselor in social service organizations. Along the way, I acquired a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Business.
When I moved to Charlotte, NC in the late 90′s and was laid off once again, I decided to create a business that would allow me to do it my way.
As a catalyst, coach, counselor, teacher and motivator, the form may be different, but my purpose is the same. I create environments and situations where people can claim their best lives and learn the practical processes that enable them to move through the world with fun and excitement.
I am passionate about environmental concerns, politics, women’s issues, animals and holistic health. I can often be found reading, gardening, cooking, camping, and going to garage sales. I have been very blessed to be able to create a life that works for me.
Contact me for how we can work together and build a brighter outcome today!
